IDEAL Mission and Goal: Our mission is to insure Franklin Pierce students graduate with skills in digital literacy. Our graduates will use DLS (digital literacy skills) in their lifelong pursuit of knowledge in the workforce and as citizens.

Objectives in pursuit of the goal:

To implement digital literacy across Franklin Pierce University's General and Liberal Education (GLE) curriculum.

To create a digital literacy (DL) learning-outcome rubric for GLE.

To develop assessment of the DL learning outcome.

Digital literacy is using technology (online/offline, software, hardware) to grapple with information (i.e., to collect, analyze, and present it) and create content in a way that advances the inquiry process.

Digital literacy is using computer hardware and software and internet technology and applications to grapple with (i.e., to collect, analyze and present) information in order to create online content that advances the academic/scholarly inquiry process.
